FORMER Cherries ace Josh Wakefield joined Poole Town – but was made to wait for his debut after the home clash with St Albans was postponed.
The 23-year-old midfielder came through the youth ranks at Cherries but was released in the summer having made four appearances, all of which were in 2012.
During his time at Dean Court, Wakefield experienced loan stints at Walsall, Yeovil, Bristol Rovers, Torquay, Welling, Dorchester, Dagenham & Redbridge, Hamworthy United and Wimborne Town.
He joined Aldershot in August following his release by Cherries and made 17 appearances in the National League, helping Shots move to the brink of the play-off places.
However, Wakefield was released earlier this month.
