EDDIE Howe refused to rule out a loan switch for Cherries youngster Emerson Hyndman and admitted a decision would be made late in the transfer window.
Midfielder Hyndman was this week linked with a loan switch to Rangers having spent the second half of last season at Ibrox. The Texan has made six cup appearances for Cherries since joining in the summer of 2016.
Asked if he was open to a loan move for Hyndman, boss Howe told the Daily Echo: “That’s something we will look at towards the end of the window. I wouldn’t close it off and say no but I wouldn’t say yes, either.
“We will make a decision taking into account the state of our squad at that time.”
Hyndman featured in the two FA Cup games against Wigan this month, playing 90 minutes in the first and coming on as a late substitute in the second.
“I think Emerson did really well against Wigan here and did very well when he came on the other day," said Howe.
"I’d love to give him more opportunities but that is difficult as the position he plays is one of our strongest in terms of numbers.
“I’m very pleased with the way he’s attacked the season and how well he has done behind the scenes, so we will make the right decision for Emerson.”
