NOTTINGHAM Forest reportedly remain “hopeful” of bringing in Cherries striker Lewis Grabban.
According to the Nottingham Post, Forest have held “further talks” over a deal for the former Norwich City ace in the past few days.
And although the City Ground outfit splashed out nearly £2.7million on Dinamo Zagreb’s Hillal Soudani, that “has not lessened their appetite” to recruit Grabban.
Forest are “working to fend off interest” from Leeds United, although Grabban’s wages remain a “stumbling block”.
Grabban, 30, has not played a competitive game for Cherries in 18 months.
The ex-Rotherham United hitman scored 20 goals in the Championship last season during loan spells with Sunderland and Aston Villa.
He featured in Villa’s play-off final defeat to Fulham at Wembley.
Meanwhile, reported Cherries target Kieran Tierney is set to be the subject of a £25m bid from Everton, according to The Telegraph.
The Dorset club had in April been linked with a £20m move for the Celtic left-back.
That claim was made by The Sun, the same newspaper stating in recent days that Cherries had been "in talks" to send midfielder Emerson Hyndman on loan to Championship new boys Wigan.
