POOLE Park's Julie Leake swept the board on Dorset finals day to become the first woman to win eight county titles in a year.
She won the four-wood singles, two-wood singles, champion of champions, pairs, fours, over-55 singles and over-55 pairs and was also a member of the team that won the county top club for Poole Park.
Leake won the pairs with Penny Cresswell, who was also her team-mate in the fours and the over-55 pairs with Stef Pinson and Bridget Hodder the two other members of the fours team.
A member of Poole Park and a former world champion and England international, Leake received her trophies from Bowls Dorset Ladies president Carol Williams who said: "This is an amazing achievement and a real honour for me in my presidential year to present the trophies to Julie and her team-mates which is made even more special as I am a member of Poole Park too."
A formal presentation will be made at the Bowls Dorset county luncheon on October 16 at George Albert Hotel near Dorchester, which Bowls England president Bill Smith will attend.
Leake is a big supporter of the Dorset Youth Bowls Academy, the Ladies president's chosen charity.
