FORMER Bournemouth Manor hitman Ed Ewens put his ex-colleagues to the sword with a brace when Hayward Saturday Premier Division leaders Westover Bournemouth upended the reigning champions 4-1, writes Mike Fowler.
Kyle Graham and Alex Mackenzie were the other Westover marksmen, while Manor’s consolation came via a penalty from skipper Darren Spiers.
Nearest rivals Hamworthy Recreation remain seven points behind with four games in hand after blitzing Bisterne United 6-0 courtesy of Joe Bennett’s four-goal blast and further efforts from Ollie Bennett and Lewis Cannings.

Mike Wheeler’s hat-trick proved decisive when second-place Queen's Park Athletic won 5-3 against Bransgore United. Martin Smith and Stuart Senior were the other Queen's Park marksmen with Ed Page, Ryan Attree and Ryan Hamm replying for Bransgore.
Josh Barton-Coup and Matt Vining bagged two each in Milford’s 5-1 victory over Mudeford Men's Club. Matias Mendez was the other Milford scorer with Tom Easom providing some consolation for the visitors.
Jamie Virabi’s 87th-minute strike gave Portcastrian the verdict 1-0 against Bournemouth Sports, while Bournemouth Manor reserves walloped AFC Burton reserves 6-0 with goals from Matt Butler, Jack Bond, Jordan Whittle, Marc Scrimshaw, Nick Cooper and Gary Cooper.
Unbeaten Gotham reserves are a point adrift of Division Two leaders New Milton Eagles after subduing Bisterne United reserves 3-1 thanks to John Bailey and a couple of goals from Adam Louka. George Green was the Bisterne scorer.
Talbot Rise also preserved their unbeaten record when Dan Thomas, Nick Bird and Brandon MacKinlay ensured a 3-1 success against Westover Bournemouth reserves, who replied through Mark Trusler.
Fez Lefils Essome struck for bottom side Cherry Bees but they were denied their first point of the season when FC Barolo shaded it 2-1 through Henry Gann and an own goal.
