PIRATES spearhead Jack Holder was reported not to have suffered a serious injury to his foot after a crash in Poland on Saturday.
The Aussie charger, part of Poole’s septet for the 2019 campaign, was involved in a three-man spill during Torun’s challenge match against Rybnik.
But Torun boss Jacek Fratczak reported Holder, who was celebrating his 23rd birthday at the meeting, to be okay to ride against Lodz in Poland on Thursday.
He told Przeglad Sportowy: “Fortunately, the injury is not serious and the rider has returned on his own to Great Britain.
“Now the most important thing is to care for the leg. Everything stays on schedule and Jack and the whole team will appear this Thursday against Lodz.”
Holder is set to be part of the Pirates line-up who begin their campaign with a challenge meeting against Somerset on Wednesday, April 3.
Meanwhile, Pirates captain Josh Grajczonek scored five paid six in Bydgoszcz’s 30-48 challenge defeat to Gniezno.
Pirates ace Richie Worrall totalled six from four rides for Leicester in their 50-40 challenge loss against Ipswich.
