JAMES Wood's Bournemouth Poppies are hoping to give VT FC a tough afternoon's work when the teams go head to head in the Wessex Premier tomorrow (3pm).
Poppies boss Wood has the luxury of naming an unchanged squad from the one that defeated Brockenhurst 1-0 on Tuesday night.
He knows exactly how he wants his charges to approach the game.
"You always come unstuck if you go to sides like this and play for the draw," said Wood.
"We'll be defensively-minded - that's one of our strengths - and we'll have to be strong, physical, get amongst them and make it hard for them.
"We've got quality as well and if we approach it in the right way I'm confident."
Poppies: (from) Kearn, McGrath, Cherrett, Lucas, Dibba, Crow, Dancer, Sanderson, Smith, Phillips, Barnes, Jeffes, Hancox, C Toy, M Toy, Wood.
FULL FOCUS FOR PRIORY
GRAHAM Kemp will be fielding his strongest side as Christchurch aim to book a Hampshire Senior Cup tie against Aldershot Town.
Priory travel to AFC Porchester in the first round of the competition tomorrow (3pm), with a match at Aldershot awaiting the victors.
"I won't be taking any chances and we're hoping to get a result," Kemp told the Daily Echo.
"Charlie Pierson is not available but apart from that everybody else is."
Defender Michael Green has left the club to join New Milton Town, so Kemp has swooped to bring in Jason Atkins, who played for him at Brockenhurst, as a replacement.
Christchurch: (from) Loader, Dand, Atkins, Hughes, Coleman, Linpow, Jenvey, Crutchley, Drew, Osborne, Woolner, Burrows, Lawrence, Rideout, Collins, Clifford.
LEGG TO SERVE BAN
STEVE Legg is unavailable for Hamworthy United due to a one-match ban but Phil Simkin hopes to have Carl Mutch (tonsillitis) available for the trip to Romsey Town (3pm).
Mark Connet is also named in the Hammers first team squad for the first time.
Hamworthy United: (from) Peters, Gilbert, Grimason, Williams, Walker, Dean, Dovell, Hubbard, Jackson, Swann, Mutch, Byerley, Chivers, Connet, Horlock, Baguley.
JY'S HORNDEAN TEST
RINGWOOD Town will be looking to build on Tuesday night's Hampshire Senior Cup victory when they travel to Horndean (3pm).
Jy Taylor's side go in search of another win, which could lift them off the foot of the Wessex Premier Division table.
- The Dorset Premier League celebrates 50 years of football on Saturday with a golden jubilee dinner at the Hamworthy Club on Magna Road (7.30pm).
