ROBERT Elford has promised to "test" rugby big-guns Rosslyn Park, as Swanage and Wareham prepare for one of the biggest games in the club's history.
Elford's Swans charges face former Courage League giants Rosslyn in tomorrow's EDF Energy National Trophy first-round (3pm).
Rosslyn plied their trade with the likes of Bath, Leicester, Sale and Wasps as one of the country's leading amateur clubs in the late 80s and early 90s, but since the game turned professional in 1995, the north London outfit have struggled for success and now play two levels above Swans in National Three South.
And while Elford, whose side fell at the first round stage last season against National Three side Bridgwater & Albion, has described tomorrow's clash as "massive", the Swans skipper feels a victory is not out of reach.
Elford said: "We've had some big games in this competition before, but for me personally, I haven't played in a bigger one.
"We went up to Bridgwater last year with a weakened side and, no disrespect to the guys who stepped in, but we got absolutely spanked.
"But it's different this time. Everyone had heard of Rosslyn Park when they were growing up and, for the older guys who are still around the club, they never got a chance to play them because they were playing at the top of the game then.
"We've got nothing to lose, but we're confident we've got the ability to test them, cause problems and get a result."
Influential centre Phil Graves looks set to return to Swans' squad after injury, while Elford said he was "hopeful" that brother Maurice could also feature. Chris Leak misses out with a knee injury and is replaced by David Price-Smith.
