JAMES Wood launched a stinging attack on the match officials after watching his Bournemouth Poppies side have a goal disallowed and a man sent off as they were narrowly beaten at VT.
Despite seeing Lamin Dibba's goal chalked off and Ben Lucas dismissed for a professional foul, it was the "inconsistency" from the referee that really riled Poppies boss Wood.
"The referee and linesman were absolutely shocking. The inconsistency was terrible," he said.
"He booked about eight, sent one off and there wasn't a bad tackle in the game - it was absolutely shocking."
Gareth Barnes headed Poppies into the lead against their much-fancied opponents.
And Dibba thought he had doubled the lead before the flag went up.
"He came from behind the defender to slot in and the linesman flagged. So all in all it wasn't a good day," explained Wood.
A failed attempt to catch the hosts offside cost Poppies the lead as VT hit back before the interval.
Just after the break, Lucas got the wrong side of his man and was adjudged to have hauled him down when racing clear, so the big defender saw red.
Leigh Phillips, tracking back to defend a set piece, lost his man and VT took the lead.
But Phillips redeemed himself when he headed home to level the scores with ten minutes remaining.
And, despite boss Wood telling his side to "shut up shop", they were caught out and ended up pointless as the hosts snatched a late winner.
"For some reason we got caught on the break when we pushed up for a corner, which we never should have done," said Wood.
"They scored with two minutes to go so I was very disappointed to be honest.
"Even with 10 men it's points dropped and I'm really disappointed we lost. Apart from the mistakes we were totally dominant."
