IT was a case of practice makes perfect for Bournemouth Poppies as they converted work on the training pitch into action to win 2-0 at Moneyfields.
Much to the delight of Poppies boss James Wood, his charges produced just the type of football he has been trying to get them to play in recent weeks.
An example of his tactics paying off came with Scott Sanderson's excellent finish, which rounded off a move that involved some good passing and hold-up play.
Tom Jeffes struck late on to secure the points.
"The first was a fantastic team goal showing things we've worked on," a happy Wood told the Daily Echo.
"It was about five or six passes into Gareth Barnes who slipped Scott in and he dinked it over the keeper. That was very pleasing."
Poppies: Kearn, McGrath, Dibba, Cherrett, Lucas, Crow, Smith (White), Sanderson, Dancer, Phillips, Barnes (Jeffes). Unused subs: C Toy, M Toy, Hancox.
