WINGER Josh Beavis ran in a hat-trick of tries for the second time this season as Ellingham and Ringwood hammered East Dorset 53-3 at home.
Beavis crossed the line twice in the first half and once after the break as the E's replaced East Dorset at the top of Hampshire Division One.
Rob Saltrick, Dave Powell, Rich Major, Tom Marks and Adam Fityan also scored tries, while Andy Weeks slotted over five conversions and one penalty to complete the riot.
Es captain Alan Bingham said: "East Dorset's coach said to me that we had just given them a lesson in rugby and I agree with him.
"We only conceded four penalties but they gave away 19. In this division you can't survive without discipline. I'm really pleased with our performance."
The guys were superb in all departments.
"However, we will not sit on our laurels. We will be training hard this week to make sure we keep improving."
He went over for a try and slotted over two penalties and three conversions in a match-winning performance.
