IN-FORM striker Steve Smith added to his growing reputation by grabbing a second half winner for Poole Town at title rivals VT.
The Wessex Premier Division leaders fell behind inside 15 minutes but an Ian Richardson penalty got them back on level terms before youngster Smith struck to seal a 2-1 win.
"We went with five in midfield and just one up front and wanted to get our wide players high up on their full-backs. It worked well," Steve Cuss, Poole's first team coach, told the Daily Echo.
Poole Town: Frampton, Whitley, I Richardson, Skelton, Funnell, T Smith, Sturgess, S Richardson, Culliford, Cann, Brown (S Smith 55). Unused subs: Bowden, Yelland, Cannie, Reeves.
