ED Baylis will be missing Oakmeadians' next two matches despite marking his first appearance for the club with a try.

He got on the scoresheet early during their 22-14 defeat at Wimborne on Saturday.

But Baylis is unavailable for the Meyrick Parkers' home Southern Counties South clashes against Corsham tomorrow and Trowbridge on November 3.

Oaks captain Hayden Hokianga said: "Ed is unavailable because of prior commitments he had before he joined us from Bournemouth.

"He and our other new boy Will Croker both did really well against Wimborne with Ed scoring his try with his first touch of the ball. Will brought a lot of experience back into the forward pack, and so did Ed.

"I was really impressed with how they played. They have brought experience into the side we have been lacking."

Tim Flower, who also left Chapel Gate earlier this month, could line up against Corsham.

Previewing that match, Hokianga said: "It's one of those where we have an opportunity to try and put a few things right by getting ourselves gelling more as a team.

"We're looking to build up to the full 80 minutes by concentrating for longer periods of time, and just showing more composure and maturity."

  • Wimborne travel to Trowbridge in buoyant form hoping to topple the Southern Counties South leaders.

All Blacks captain Dave Huggins said: "Trowbridge away will be very hard. But we have confidence in the side and are determined to get a good result."
