CHARLIE Elysee gave Verwood a fully deserved 1-0 interval lead with a cracking 10-yard far post drive.
But inconsistent Verwood slumped to another disappointing defeat after being in charge against one of the top Division One sides.
Town boss Adie Arnold, whose charges conceded a "dubious" 55th minute penalty and two other second-half strikes, said: "It was a tale of two halves.
"In the first half we were outstanding. But at half time we switched off and didn't come out in the second period, we didn't perform.
"It's very frustrating because it's the third time it has happened. We were 2-0 up against Warminster, 2-0 up against Tadley and now 1-0 up against Laverstock and failed to beat them all.
"We seem to stop playing football and go into our shell. That is what is holding us back."
Verwood: Willis, Freeman, Lynch, Yerby, Homer, Dyer, Arnold, Faulkner, Elysee, King, Reeves. Unused subs: Rogers, Beverley, Newbury.
