HAMMERS manager Phil Simkin stressed his side could still be playing Alresford now and they wouldn't have hit the back of the net.
Both sides picked up a point from Saturday's clash, but it was Simkin who was the more disappointed.
He said: "I was very pleased with our performance but we came up against a goalkeeper who had an absolute blinder.
"I played out of his skin and saved everything. We battered them for most of the game and couldn't get past him."
Simkin added: "I'm disappointed we didn't get all three points, especially with the way we played.
"It seemed everyone in our team went close.
"So it was one of those days when we could have played until midnight, or longer, and not scored."
Hamworthy United: Peters, Hubbard, Dovell, Horlock, Walker, Dean, Legg, R Middleton, Jackson (Connett 30), Byerley, Mutch. Unused subs: Williams, Swann, Byrne.
