TWO goals inside the opening 120 seconds propelled newly-promoted Bashley to within four points of the British Gas Business Premier Division leadership.
Richard Gillespie crashed in the New Forest club's opening goal in the first minute.
Then ex-Cherries striker David Town lobbed in their second 60 seconds later to complete the perfect start for his side.
Yate replied with a strike of their own just after the half hour mark.
But Bash impressed for their third successive league win, and ninth unbeaten top-flight game on the trot.
Victory lifted them up to fifth in the table, only four points adrift of leaders Hemel Hempstead, who lost 3-2 at Team Bath last night, with two matches in hand.
Bash boss Steve Riley said: "We hadn't played a game for two weeks so to go away and win was fantastic.
"The performance from the players was so professional that it is a pleasure to be manager of a team like that.
"I asked for winners and leaders before the game and that is what I got in abundance tonight."
Phil Archbald, one of Riley's contacts through his time serving in the Royal Navy, came in for injured Matt Parnell and played a blinder at centre-half.
Gareth Keeping also impressed in midfield after returning from injury as Bash produced a brilliant display to chalk up their first away league win of the campaign.
Bashley: Elm, Hill, Castle, Archbald, Ferrett, Tarr (Moss 75), Keeping, Davis, Keeler (Blackmore 80), Town, Gillespie. Unused subs: Harper, Middleton, Riley.
