KEVIN Bond's fragile resources look set to suffer a double blow due to the probable loss of loan stars Marc Wilson and Adam Lallana.

Bond's chances of keeping Wilson for a second month appear to have bitten the dust, while Lallana has been added to Cherries' casualty list.

Utility man Wilson returned to parent club Portsmouth after his initial one-month loan spell had ended following Cherries' 1-1 draw with Walsall.

And although Bond was keen to keep him, the 20-year-old Irishman is unlikely to extend his stay at Dean Court due to Cherries' precarious financial position.

To compound Bond's woes, attacking midfielder Lallana has been forced to miss training this week after becoming the latest victim of Cherries' injury jinx.

He sustained a badly swollen left ankle when he took a heavy blow to the joint just seconds before Jo Kuffour had opened the scoring against Walsall.

And although Lallana bravely managed to play through the pain barrier, he eventually succumbed and was substituted midway through the second half.

Lallana's fitness was due to be assessed by Cherries physio Steve Hard yesterday, but the 19-year-old failed to complete a light training session after pulling out in the warm-up.

He is already a major doubt for Cherries' trip to Bristol Rovers on Saturday, while his chances of facing Leeds at Dean Court on Tuesday are also in the balance.

And with his one-month loan spell from Southampton due to expire following the visit of Leeds, Cherries may also have seen the last of Lallana.

The absence of both Wilson and Lallana against Bristol Rovers may force Bond back into the loan market, although his options are severely limited by the club's financial restraints.

"I'm trying really hard to see if I can get anybody else in, but that has so far proved unsuccessful," said Bond last night.

"Adam's got a bad ankle and it doesn't look like he's going to recover in time for Saturday and it looks likely that we will be unable to keep Marc.

"It would be hugely disappointing because he has done very well for us. He has played a number of different positions and been a real utility player for us.

"With the situation we're in, we've had to rely heavily on the loan system, which has been good to us in many respects. Regrettably though, it looks like we will have to push on without him."
