VERWOOD Town boss Adie Arnold feels his side are "not getting the luck we deserve" after watching them lose 2-0 at Sherborne in the Dorset Senior Cup.
Verwood were left chasing the game after the hosts went in front with a second-minute penalty, which Arnold described as a "harsh" decision.
Arnold's team had chances to equalise before the interval but Dan Goodall and Mark Beverley both saw shots come back off the woodwork.
With Verwood chasing an equaliser, the game opened up and a late own goal settled the tie, leaving Arnold to rue a lack of luck.
"Everything is dropping against us at the moment but we've got to re-group and go again on Saturday," he told the Daily Echo.
"It was hard to take but we've got to live with it."
The Verwood boss saw his side miss four good opportunities to score.
"Goals change games. We conceded in the first minute, came back and hit the post twice, but that's just the way it's going at the moment," added Arnold.
Verwood Town: Willis, Giles (Matt Newbury 70), Lynch, Yerby, Homer, Dyer, Beverley, Elysee, Arnold, Goodall, Reeves (Freeman 60).
