ADRIAN Gomolski has admitted the small size of the track will be a complete shock to him when he lines up in the Brighton Bonanza next month.
The 20-year-old Pirates rider has been included in the line-up for the Sussex indoor meeting on Sunday, December 9.
But the Pole will be in for a major surprise when he turns up and discovers the track is only around 140 metres in length.
"I haven't heard anything about the track from the other Polish boys," said Gomolski, who scored 19 points in six Elite League and Craven Shield outings for Poole Castle Cover after being called in to replace Craig Boyce.
"I'm completely in the dark so I'll just have to find out when I get there and give it a go."
Gomolski, who has grown up learning his speedway on the big continental circuits, added: "Every time I ride a small track I can feel I'm getting better and better.
"So I'm glad I had the chance to race for Poole.
"Both Neil Middleditch and Matt Ford said to me I would go much better on away tracks like Coventry, Swindon, Eastbourne and Lakeside the next time I ride on them.
"It's been a very big education for me and I'm very glad I came over to England."
Gomolski, who scored an impressive five on his first visit to Ipswich, was much happier performing at Wimborne Road.
He bagged paid 12 on his Pirates debut against Vicrown Select, albeit on Bjarne Pedersen's bike, and also scored paid seven in their Shield final home leg against Coventry and Swindon on his own equipment.
The Pole said: "I knew what sprocket to use at Poole and other things like that, so I did much better.
"I knew where I was going on the track, inside and outside, and I would like to go back to Poole next season, but Matt and Mike Golding will make that decision.
"British speedway would be good for me to help me progress.
"I would like to ride here next year if I get the chance. I want to ride in Poland, Britain and Sweden and sometimes in meetings in Germany."
Gomolski, who has returned to his homeland to spend the winter, added: "I'll have a few weeks holiday now the speedway season has finished.
"But then I'll be training on a daily basis, swimming, fitness in the gym, running and riding moto-cross to keep fit."
