CHRISTCHURCH manager Graham Kemp pulled no punches in his highly critical analysis of his side's losing display at Cowes Sports on Saturday.

Priory went down 1-0 after what Kemp described as an "atrocious" performance.

"We started brightly and had two great opportunities to go in front," Kemp told the Daily Echo.

"The first fell to Robbie Woolner six yards out and his shot hit the goalkeeper's legs.

"Then on about quarter of an hour Ross Drew crossed and Dave Midgeley put it wide from about four yards."

Kemp felt scoring first might have "kick-started" his side, but there was little to lift his spirits after the two missed chances early on.

He said: "I was really, really disappointed. After the win over Vospers in midweek we capitulated and 1-0 flattered us.

"It was coming from 25 minutes on and they were the only team that looked like winning."

Kemp confirmed he would be "actively" searching for new players this week to "freshen things up".
