IN potentially the biggest mismatch since Neil 'Razor' Ruddock was hilariously paired with Pete Burns on Celebrity Wife Swap, bottom-of-the-table Downton visit leaders Poole Town at Tatnam tomorrow (3pm).

The teams' records could not be more contrasting, with Tom Killick's Poole boasting a 100 per cent home record, while lowly Downton have failed to register a point on their travels this term.

With Dolphins having the best goal difference in the Wessex Premier Division (44) and Downton the lowest (minus 47), few would bet against a goal-fest.

But Killick has warned his side could drop points if they do not improve on last week's below par performance against Alresford Town.

"I'd hope if we played properly we'd be too good for them," Killick told the Daily Echo.

"But we played Alresford last week and they were the better side. If we don't improve on that there's a risk they could take points off us."

The Dolphins boss thinks the early exchanges will dictate the type of game that follows.

He said: "What's really important against lesser sides is to start well and show you mean business.

"If they sense we're not as motivated as we should be that can encourage them and they could end up raising their game.

"If we start well and get in front, because they haven't won many games and their confidence is invariably fragile, we can get on and win quite comfortably."

New signing Ben Osborne will boost Poole's firepower.

The striker is set to make his home debut after playing his first game for Dolphins last week at Alresford, having joined the club from Premier Division rivals Christchurch.

Dan Cann will miss out because of a badly bruised shin, but Killick hopes to have Trefor and Chris Smith back from lay-offs.
