ADIE Arnold has given his players a vote of confidence despite being unhappy Verwood conceded a sloppy 90th minute equaliser.
Charlie Elysee's opener and a Russell Dyer corner turned into his own net by US Portsmouth's goalkeeper gave Town a 2-1 lead with four minutes to go.
"But we lost concentration and shipped a late goal," said Verwood boss Arnold, whose side have specialised in throwing victories away this season.
"If I didn't think the players I have got could do it, I would bring other players in.
"However, the lads I have got are good enough and wise enough to turn the corner.
"I still have confidence in them if they listen to what we are telling them."
Verwood: Willis, Yerby, Giles, Lynch, Homer, Dyer, Arnold, Faulkner, Elysee (Matt Newbury 65), King, Goodall. Unused subs: Freeman, Martin Newbury, Beverley, Reeves.
