SECOND Division Christchurch and New Milton Seagulls had an excellent second place at Bath in the National Speedo League West.
But they look destined to pay the price for their fourth place in round one, missing out on a place in the promotion final by just five gala points.
Winners included Melissa Bennison, who swam up an age group to take the 15/u 100m butterfly in 1:15.36, and Alice Talbot in the 11/u 50m breaststroke.
In-form Chris Chamberlain set club records as he came first in the u/15 100m butterfly in 1:07.25 and a close second in the breaststroke (1:14.30).
Peter Griffiths and Matt Randle both won the u/11 and u/13 50m freestyle events in 33.95 and 30.68 respectively.
Coach Barry Alldrick said: "This was a complete team performance. The team really pulled together."
Bournemouth Dolphins B and Wareham are heading for the relegation gala after coming fifth and sixth at Easton, Bristol.
