POOLE'S hopes of making the National Speedo League West Division One final foundered as they finished fifth at Clevedon, slipping to 11th in the table.
Sarah Meaker was involved in four of Poole's seven wins, taking the 100m individual medley in 1:11.71 and the 100m freestyle in 1:01.03.
She then joined Elaine Lewis, Becky Vincent and Becky Brown to win the medley relay and these three plus Claire Rafferty and Sophie Notley for the 6x50m freestyle relay.
The other wins came from Vincent in the women's 100m breaststroke (1:23.79), Declan Callahan in the 13/u 50m freestyle (30.15) and the men's 6x50m freestyle team of Mark Francis, Paul Corbin, Carl O'Brien, Tom Watson, James Newbon and Matt Penny.
Gilllingham Turbos have found the going tough in their first Speedo League season and go into the final round in 27th and last position in Division Three.
