CHERRIES chairman Jeff Mostyn issued a heartfelt message to the club’s fans over the Easter weekend and urged people to stay at home and help save lives.
The Dorset club have now not featured in match action for more than a month, with the Premier League currently shut down amid the coronavirus pandemic.
And with the campaign halted, chief Mostyn took the time to send his well wishes to Cherries’ supporters and their families – as well as hailing the job done by NHS workers helping to fight the virus on the front line.
Speaking on the club’s official Twitter account, Mostyn said: “I’d like to take this opportunity to wish all of our supporters and your families, wherever you are in the world, a very happy Easter.
“Despite the isolation we are all enduring at the moment, I hope you are all safe and well.
“I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank all the NHS staff, the emergency services, key workers, social and care workers – everybody in the community that is helping save lives and helping the most vulnerable in our society.
“Despite the isolation you are very much in our thoughts and on behalf of everybody at the football club, we hope you stay safe and stay well.
“I think that all we can do is listen to the government warnings and their advice to stay safe, stay at home and help save lives.
“On behalf of everybody at the football club, our love and thoughts are with you and we hope to be reunited at the Vitality Stadium in the not too distant future.”
