EXPERIENCED quartet Simon Francis, Andrew Surman, Artur Boruc and Charlie Daniels are poised to sign short-term deals to boost Cherries’ Premier League survival chances.
The four club stalwarts, who helped the Dorset outfit reach the top flight in 2015, all see their current contracts expire at the end of the month.
But the Daily Echo understands the club do not envisage any problems and fully expect them to sign up for the remainder of the season – with nine games left to seal survival at England’s elite level.
It is understood a short-term deal with winger Ryan Fraser is not as close at this stage, however. Jordon Ibe is set to leave the club on the expiration of his deal.
Daniels is still recovering from a knee injury sustained against Manchester City last August.
Cherries are set to return to competitive match action for the first time in more than three months, when they host Crystal Palace at Vitality Stadium behind closed doors a week on Saturday (7.45pm).
Eddie Howe’s men have already this week announced Liverpool loanee Harry Wilson will remain at the club for the rest of the campaign, after an extension to his agreement was finalised.
