YOUNG goalkeeper Billy Terrell was the hero as Wimborne Town stunned Maidstone United to clinch their place in the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup.
Maidstone, who compete a league above Magpies in National League South, looked set to progress with former Cherries youngster Charlie Seaman's brace putting them 2-1 ahead, cancelling out Charlie Gunson's strike.
However, the visitors missed the chance to kill off the contest with Cherries loanee goalkeeper Terrell denying Scott Rendell from the penalty spot, before making a host of further saves.
And with the deficit kept down to just one, that allowed Gunson to slam home a brilliant second of the evening in stoppage time to make the score 2-2 and force a shootout.
There Terrell excelled again, saving each of Maidstone's first two spot-kicks which set Wimborne on their way to a 3-1 penalty success to march to within one game of the first-round proper.
