JOSH Carmichael’s pivotal strike meant Poole Town kept up their unbeaten record in Southern League South.
Dolphins sealed a 1-0 victory over Hendon at Blackgold Stadium – with the visitors playing almost the entire contest with 10 men.
Hendon’s Sam Corcoran was sent off after seemingly slapping the face of Cherries loanee Christian Saydee, giving referee Craig Scriven no choice but to give him his marching orders after just two minutes.
And Dolphins eventually made the numerical advantage count on the stroke of half-time.
Saydee’s initial effort rebounded into the path of Carmichael to drill home what proved to be the winner.
Elsewhere, goals from Curtis Young and Lewis Beale meant Wimborne Town pulled off a 2-1 comeback victory at Weston-super-Mare.
James Waite had put the Seagulls ahead after just three minutes before the Magpies duo turned the game on its head.
Wimborne are up to 12th in the table, while Poole occupy second spot with a game in hand on leaders Tiverton.
