CHERRIES will play Southampton in a south coast showdown in the last eight of the FA Cup.
Quarter-final ties are set to be played on the weekend of Saturday, March 20.
Cherries were ball one in the draw conducted this evening – having overcome Oldham, Crawley and Burnley in previous stages.
Goals from Sam Surridge and Junior Stanislas earned the Dorset club a 2-0 fifth-round win at Turf Moor on Tuesday.
This is the furthest Cherries have been in the competition. The last time they reached the last eight was in 1957.
Saints overcame Wolverhampton 2-0 tonight thanks to goals from Danny Ings and Stuart Armstrong, to book their place in the last eight.
