TOM Killick's tireless search to boost his Poole Town striking options continues, with the Dolphins boss awaiting an answer from Dave Ewen.
Killick, a top non-league forward in his playing days, is expecting a decision from the New Milton Town frontman soon.
He said: "I spoke to Dave on Wednesday night and he is likely to let me know at the weekend.
"Whatever happens he is playing for New Milton at the weekend."
Killick revealed he was "quietly hopeful" that Ewen would swap Fawcetts Field for Tatnam.
Linnets manager Trevor Parker admitted he would be "very surprised" if the striker opted to leave New Milton.
The Wessex Premier Division leaders attempted to lure Jack Swann away from rivals Hamworthy United earlier this season but that bid ended in failure.
