CHRISTCHURCH boss Graham Kemp slammed his players as "naïve and very unprofessional" after they threw away what would have been a highly impressive point at Fareham.
The hosts, now fifth in the Wessex Premier Division table, led through Gary Austin's 24th-minute opener.
But Priory hit back with goals from Marc Burrows and in-form youngster Russell Cooke before the break.
Tommy Woodward levelled for Fareham with 12 minutes remaining and Kemp admitted he would've been pleased with a draw.
But his players obviously weren't and, as the Priory troops piled forward in search of an unlikely winner, they were caught on the break and all of their hard work was undone.
"To be fair I think it's probably the most disappointed I've been this year," Kemp told the Daily Echo.
"With 30 seconds left I felt we were very naïve and very unprofessional. Seven men attacked their goal and we conceded with the last kick.
"They're in the top six and I can't believe we didn't settle for a point."
Kemp explained how his team conceded the late winner.
He said: "We got the ball wide and the referee signalled one minute to go and we should've seen the game out. But everyone charged forward and we put the cross in, it went to one of their blokes and two passes later it was in the back of our net.
"For 89-and-a-half minutes I thought we were superb and I would've been over the moon with 2-2 and to throw it away like we did was unforgivable.
"There are probably only five teams in the league who wouldn't think a draw away to Fareham is a good result.
"It's the worst I've been all season. It's in the top five performances of the year and I'm disappointed because we threw it away. I can't express how disappointed I am."
On a positive note, Kemp praised the performances of 17-year-old pair Cooke and Chris Dillon.
He added: "Russell Cooke and Chris Dillon were outstanding again. They were the best two players on the park in my opinion."
