NEW Milton Town forward Dave Ewen has shown his loyalty to the club by turning down two offers and staying at Fawcett's Field.
Brockenhurst and Poole Town were in for the Linnets hitman, but he has opted to stay with Trevor Parker's outfit, despite them being well below both Brock and Dolphins in the Wessex Premier Division.
Ewen's decision earned the praise of boss Parker.
He told the Echo: "I'm obviously very pleased and I'm really thankful.
"He's rejected a couple of decent offers. We're delighted that's the case.
"He's ever such an important component of our future. He's committed to us until the end of the season without us even talking about money and we're over the moon with that. He's shown tremendous loyalty."
Poole boss Tom Killick admitted he was a "bit disappointed" at seeing his bid rebuffed, having already missed out on Hamworthy United's Jack Swann this season.
"You've got to commend his loyalty, but I'm a bit surprised," Killick told the Daily Echo.
