CHERRIES have not received a deadline day bid from Newcastle United for winger David Brooks, the Daily Echo understands.
Brooks, who today withdrew from international duty with Wales due to injury, has featured six times for Cherries this season, scoring three goals.
He played 66 minutes of Saturday's 0-0 draw at Hull City.
And according to The Chronicle in Newcastle, the Magpies sent their chief scout Steve Nickson to watch the game at MKM Stadium.
A report this morning from talkSPORT claimed Newcastle had made a late swoop to sign the 24-year-old, but the Echo understands that to not be the case.
Brooks has regularly been linked with a move away from Vitality Stadium ever since his stellar first season at the club in 2018-19 after his arrival from Sheffield United.
