BASHLEY boss Steve Riley is praying for better weather before a fixture pile bogs down his promotion-chasing side.
They have slipped to 11th, 11 points behind leaders King's Lynn, in the chase for Southern League Premier Division elevation.
But the New Foresters have games in hand over all their title rivals, having played only 19 of their scheduled 42 matches so far.
Following their rained-off home encounter against Team Bath in midweek, Riley said: "We don't want another game postponed.
"I would prefer to be playing these games and getting points on the board rather than be chasing the pack. It is not so much that I'm getting worried about the situation, because our destiny is in our own hands.
"You can't beat playing games, however, especially when you are playing good football like we are at the moment"
Third-placed Chippenham visit the Recreation Ground tomorrow (3pm) for a six-pointer' and reserve team goalkeeper Steve Hollicks returns to Bashley's squad.
Chippenham salvaged a 2-2 home league draw with a last-gasp leveller against Riley's outfit earlier in the season, but sent Bashley spinning out of the FA Cup 5-1 at the same venue.
