PRIORY boss Graham Kemp praised his in-form young striker Russell Cook after the "cool customer" hit a late winner to see off lowly Ringwood.
Marc Burrows gave the hosts a 57th-minute lead at Hurn Bridge before Simon Atkins's volley seven minutes from time looked to have earned struggling Town a point. But there was a sting in the tale as Cook settled matters with three minutes remaining.
And the teenager's golden touch pleased his manager.
"I think Russell Cook has four in four games, plus a couple of assists," said Kemp.
"He missed two one-on-ones and I thought his head would go down but in the 87th minute he dummied the goalkeeper, walked round him and tapped it in, and at 17 or 18 years of age that's pretty cool. I'm full of praise for him."
Christchurch supremo Kemp felt it would've been a "travesty" if his team had failed to win the game after claiming they spent "44-and-a-half minutes" in Ringwood territory in the second period.
But Ringwood boss Jy Taylor thought his team deserved "at least" a point for their efforts.
He said: "It's our lack of options up front which undoes us. That's what let us down again."
