BEN Truan and Russell Dyer grabbed early goals as Verwood broke into the Division One top three for the first time this season.
Truan scored a cracker from 25 yards and Dyer tapped home from close range after being set up by Charlie Elysee.
Dean Savage got one back for Stockbridge just before the break following a needlessly given away free kick by Verwood.
Their manager Adie Arnold said: "Our first half display was some of the best football we have played this season.
"We tore them to shreds. The game should have been dead and buried. We should have had three or four by half time.
"What was best was we looked solid in the second half."
