BOSS Graham Kemp demanded that his Christchurch players "learn" from giving away a late goal against Alresford last night.

Kemp's charges ran out winners thanks to Marc Burrows's strike after 36 minutes and Paul Rideout's spot-kick midway through the second half.

But Priory once again let their concentration slip, gifting Alresford a goal with the last kick of the game and leaving Kemp fuming.

Kemp said: "They scored with the last kick of the game and we've just got that tendency at the moment to give late goals away.

"It was a shame for the lads to give that one away because they defended so well and didn't deserve it.

"It's frustrating because week after week I say You must concentrate for 90 minutes' but again we've given one away late on "We gave the ball away cheaply again and it allows the opposition to come at you and gain momentum. "They have to learn that 2-0 up with 10 minutes to go doesn't mean it's all over.

"If Alresford had scored with five minutes to go it would have been nip and tuck again.

"Two or three nil is more than a fair reflection of our play in the game and 2-1 makes it sound like we were hanging on again. The boys need to learn that lesson."

Burrows nipped in front of his marker to head home a Priory set-piece, before Rideout coolly slotted home from the spot after Robbie Woolner was brought down inside the Alresford box.

Alresford's Stuart Findlay was on hand with his side's late consolation.

Priory: Loader, Costello, Taylor, Crutchley, Dillon, Borthwick, Lawrence, Glasspool (Conroy, 70), Rideout, Burrows, Woolner (Jenvey, 80). Unused subs: Manning, Hughes.
