SCOTT Parker revealed Ethan Laird had suffered a setback in his recovery from a hamstring injury.
The Manchester United defender joined Cherries on loan in the first week of January.
However, the 20-year-old is yet to make his debut for his new club.
Despite featuring regularly for Swansea City in the Championship during the first half of this season, Laird is not yet ready to take to the field for Cherries.
Speaking last week about a potential date for Laird's debut, Parker said: "Ethan Laird is moving in the right direction.
"The weekend is too quick for him. I'm hoping we might see him in the FA Cup or he'll be available for Birmingham (on February 9)."
But after confirming today the right-back would not be ready to face Boreham Wood on Sunday, Parker told the Daily Echo: "He’s had a little bit of a setback.
"Hopefully not too long.
"Look, it’s not been ideal, let’s get that right. It’s not been ideal.
"He’s come in and obviously had a bit of an issue with his hamstring.
"Hopefully we’re not too far off, but we’re just treading carefully around that a little bit."
