CHERRIES boss Scott Parker will watch on from the stands as his side take on Reading tomorrow evening (kick-off 7.45pm) after being handed a one-match ban for his dismissal away at Preston.
After Emil Riis’ late winner at Deepdale, Parker was shown a red-card for his protestations.
Alongside the ban, Cherries' head coach has also been fined £2,000.
A statement from the FA read: “AFC Bournemouth’s Scott Parker has been suspended from the touchline for one match and fined £2,000 following a breach of FA Rule E3.
“The manager admitted that his language during the 90th minute of their EFL Championship game against Preston North End FC on Saturday March 5 2022 was abusive, insulting, and improper, and he also accepted the standard penalty.”
Ultimately, Parker decided not to appeal the charge, accepting the one-match ban.
Assistant head coach Matt Wells will likely take charge of the side in Parker’s place.
