BASHLEY are looking to return to the Southern League after six years in the Wessex Premier, with the New Forest club close to achieving promotion.
They enter the final game of the season knowing that victory over Christchurch will be enough to clinch promotion to the eighth tier.
Bash are assured of a top two finish, but thanks to vacancies in the league above, nine sides finishing second across the ninth tier will be automatically promoted based on their points per game record.
The New Forest club are currently well poised to earn promotion, but if results go against them, they will at least play an inter-step play-off with a side from the eighth tier.
Elsewhere in the division, Champions Hamworthy United will look to end their campaign on a high against the division’s entertainers, Fareham Town.
In league games this year, Fareham have scored 112 goals and conceded 96 in their 39 fixtures, and with Hamworthy also scoring over a century of goals, the clash at the Sunseeker International County Ground promises to be a fitting end to the Hammers’ title winning campaign.
Blackfield & Langley visit bottom side Amesbury Town, whilst Bournemouth Poppies look safe despite the fact that Hythe & Dibden can reach their points total of 29.
That’s because Phill Brown’s side have a far superior goal difference, with Poppies currently on -39 and Hythe on -88.
Elsewhere in the New Forest Brockenhurst have their feet up, after they completed their league fixtures with a 1-0 win over Alresford Town last weekend.
