SKIPPER Lloyd Kelly told Dominic Solanke it was “easy work” for him to slot home from the penalty spot against Fulham and added: “I am sure I am not the only one that had full faith in him.”

The Cherries striker kept his cool from 12 yards to net his 28th goal of the season in all competitions and ensure the Dorset club picked up a priceless point against the league leaders.

Solanke’s spot-kick came after Adam Smith was judged to have been fouled by Harry Wilson deep into stoppage time at Vitality Stadium.

It wiped out Aleksandar Mitrovic’s headed opener and ensured the sides battled to a 1-1 draw.

Asked what he said to Solanke prior to the penalty being taken, Kelly told afcbTV: “I just told him it’s easy work.

“It’s easy work for him. He’s been doing it the whole season.

“Stay cool, put it away, it was as simple as that and he did it. I am sure I am not the only one that had full faith in him as well.”

Kelly added: “We knew going into the game it was going to be tough. As simple as that.

“I think overall we can say we are happy with how we played, with our performance. It just came down to the finest of margins in the end.”
