DAVID Brooks is back in training with Cherries – and the club have given fans a different view of his sessions whilst in Portugal.

Welsh international Brooks missed nearly the entirety of last season after being diagnosed with stage two Hodgkin lymphoma back in October with on duty with Wales.

Given the all clear in May, the Warrington-born star has slowly been re-integrated into full-time football.

At the start of the month his head coach, Scott Parker, urged caution, revealing that he had been given a tailored regime in order to get him back on the pitch.

Parker had told the club’s website: “While we all can’t wait to have him back playing, we’re going to have to be patient with that.

“We need to see how he comes through the work we’re doing with him.

“t’s modified at the moment and he’s not at the levels of the other players due to where he is currently.”

Brooks can seen training alongside under-23s and Junior Stanislas, who is also gearing up for a return from injury.

Fans can watch as Brooks is put through his paces by Cherries’ Lead physical performance coach, Charlie Moore.

The attacker can be seen undergoing drills and offering advice to new under-23s signing Dominic Sadi.

He also jokes that “all of the social media has been praying for it, so I thought today would be the day."
