CHERRIES have been linked with Barcelona goalkeeper Neto by Spanish outlet Relevo.
The sports magazine suggests that the two clubs are currently negotiating a deal for the Brazilian, who has represented his country once, back in 2018.
In recent weeks, fellow promoted side Fulham have been linked to Neto, although it appears the Cottagers are more keen on Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno.
The 33-year-old's contract reportedly expires at the end of the 2022-23 season, and with Barcelona's uncertain financial situation, there may be the opportunity to bring in the former Valencia man at a cut-price.
Cherries are certainly keen on bringing in another goalkeeper with Mark Travers the only senior custodian at the club.
The club have had Alex Smithies and Jonas Lossl trial with the first-team in recent weeks, with no deals offered to either 'keeper.
Neto has clearly been a back-up for Barca, making just 21 appearances since joining in 2019 from Valencia.
He has also previously played in Italy, for Juventus and Fiorentina, and has made 10 appearances in the Champions League.
Whilst Travers is currently viewed as number one at the Vitality Stadium, head coach Scott Parker remains keen to bring in competition to help the Irishman continue to develop and improve.
