CHERRIES are back in the Premier League, and they restarted life at the top table with a solid 2-0 win over Aston Villa.
It seems like football produces mindboggling numbers constantly nowadays, from the transfer fees and recorded wages, to the points totals of teams at the top.
We have gone through the matters arising from Saturday's game, and selected some interesting stats and figures for your perusal.
742 – How many days passed since Cherries’ last game in the top-flight, a 3-1 win over Everton at Goodison Park on 26 July, 2020.
5 – Five players made their Premier League debuts at the weekend. Kieffer Moore, Ben Pearson, Marcus Tavernier and Jordan Zemura all started for their first taste of the top-flight, whilst Ryan Christie came off the bench late on.
15 – The amount of clearances Chris Mepham made in an inspired display at the back. No other player in the Premier League made more during game week one, with teammate Lloyd Kelly coming close with 13 clearances.

150 – Lewis Cook reached the impressive milestone of 150 games on Saturday. Whilst the midfielder probably hoped to reach the milestone some time ago, the former Leeds United man has battled back from two ACL injuries during his time on the south coast. Out of the 150 matches, he has played just over half of them in the Prem – 76 in total.
116 – How many seconds it took for Jefferson Lerma to open scores against Villa. According to OptaJoe, that is the fastest goal scored on the opening day of the season by a newly promoted team in Premier League history.

71 – Kieffer Moore’s conversion rate since joining Cherries. He has attempted seven shots, six of which have been on target – and five of which have been goals. His goal to minute ratio will have taken a hit, but his goal to shot ratio – 0.71 – remains remarkably high. All in all, not a bad Premier League debut – or first start for the club!
5 – Cherries have now started five seasons in a row at home – and have avoided defeat in each match. The streak stretches from the 2018-19 season, when Cherries defeated Cardiff 1-0 at home. (P5 W3 D2)
30 – Kieffer Moore keeps on cropping up here! Despite being viewed as the archetypal target man, only one other player had more pressures than Moore at the weekend, Leeds United’s Brenden Aaronson (with 31). Effectively, Moore pressed an opponent 30 times at the weekend. The number also serves for how old the Welsh international is – he celebrated turning 30 on Monday.

🔺'Massive achievement' of scoring in the Prem
🔺Grateful for 'opportunity' he 'took with both hands'
🔺'I feel this is the fittest, strongest I've been for a long time'
🔺'I'm expecting a lot from myself this season'#afcbhttps://t.co/EsUMNSXEk0
6 – Jordan Zemura became just the sixth Zimbabwean international to play in the Premier League. He follows legendary fellow countrymen such as goalkeeper Bruce Grobbelaar and striker Peter Ndlovu in playing in England's first division.
2 – We’ll end on a lighthearted one. There were two former Dorchester Town players on the pitch on Saturday. Again, Kieffer Moore gets a mention – but former Cherry Danny Ings also had a spell at the Avenue Stadium, on loan from the Cherries, in 2010.
