YOUNGSTER Owen Bevan described his Premier League debut for Cherries as “a moment I’ve dreamed of for my whole life.”
Fresh off the back of making his first appearance for the south coast side on Tuesday against Norwich in the Carabao Cup, Bevan came off the bench during Cherries’ heavy 9-0 defeat at Anfield to become the 65th player to have represented the club in the Premier League.

A graduate of Cherries’ youth system, Bevan trained with the first team during pre-season, appearing in the final friendly against Real Sociedad.
Reflecting on his debut, 18-year-old Bevan told the Daily Echo: “It’s a moment I've dreamed of for my whole life.
“Really grateful for the opportunity from all the coaches, from the gaffer. This is the first of many, hopefully.”
Although the final result was an afternoon to forget, Hampshire-raised Bevan admitted the fact his first Premier League game came at such a historic ground as Anfield was special.
He continued: “It’s a dream come true – one of the best teams in Europe, fans are incredible, to make my debut here, I’m buzzing.
“Obviously we’re disappointed with the result. We knew the quality we were having to face. But on a personal note, just happy to make my debut.”
Cherries skipper Lloyd Kelly missed the trip to Merseyside, paving the way for Bevan’s inclusion in the matchday squad. When asked how much notice he was given ahead of the fixture, Bevan replied: “I'm just ready for every opportunity.
“I think you never know when an opportunity might arise. I was just ready for it.”
A youth international for Wales at under-19 level, Bevan’s older brother, Taylor, recently fought at the Commonwealth Games, in the Men’s Light Heavyweight division.

With both siblings reaching new heights in their respective professions, younger Brother Owen shared: “I'm really proud of him.
“He's worked so hard for everything he's achieved.
“He got silver at the Commonwealth Games and he's just looking to push on again for the Olympics.
“The final was on the Sunday, so I drove up there, watched him. He done really well I thought – he was gutted.”
