PORTCASTRIAN need just four points from their three remaining games to clinch the Division Four title after Dan Jones (2), Lewis Dear and Fernando Valdivielso gave them the upper hand 4-2 against championship rivals Alderholt, who replied through Wayne Cassin and Adam Newman.

Walkford's title hopes were extinguished when Old Oak-meadians Reserves ambushed them 5-0 courtesy of Kenny Wilson's hat-trick and a couple of goals from Michael Cobb.

Paul Lines, Chris Draper and Jason Cliffe gave Fencing Centre the edge 3-2 against Wessex Lions and they find themselves occupying second place after taking a very impressive 34 points from their past 12 games.

It's even more impressive given that, after their first 11 games, Fencing Centre were second from bottom with just five points.

At the other end of the table, Magpies & Woolsbridge United eased their relegation worries when Fareed Raouf settled the issue 1-0 against fellow strugglers Newtown Conservative.

Bottom-placed Winton CC went down again when Stourvale sank them 4-0 thanks to Sean Kelly, Richie Pountain, Andy Hazel and an own goal.

Malt n Hops United were also 4-0 winners when Brett McEwan (2), Mark Chiverton and Ryan Butcher put paid to Redlynch & Woodfalls United Reserves.

SWAY MAINTAIN FORM

Sway remain 12 points clear in Division One after Adam Clark and Dominic Taylor ensured a 2-0 victory over Westover Bournemouth, their 15th win in their past 16 outings.

With Sway in such good form, reigning champions Suttoners Civil know they cannot afford to drop any more points if they are to retain their title. They returned to winning ways when Jason Dark (2), Darren Spiers, Joe Kittle and Rick Bowry gave them a 5-1 triumph over bottom-placed Redhill Rangers, who replied with a late consolation goal from Darren Cooper.

Liam McGlynn steered Southbourne to a 1-0 win over Pennington St Marks, while Lee Clarke, James Crow and Paul Conroy gave Bournemouth Electric a 3-1 success against Verwood Town, whose goal came from Pete Hunt.

  • Steve Wellman and Russell King netted for Division Two front runners Suttoners Civil Reserves in their final game of the season but third-placed Parley Sports held them to a 2-2 draw thanks to Mike La Ronde and Anthony Cocorachio.

Martin Kelly netted for title favourites Ferndown Town but they suffered an unexpected setback when AFC Highcliffe upended them 2-1 with goals from Lee Roberts and Andy Gregory.

Mudeford Mens Club will be fancying their chances after they just got the better of Mploy courtesy of a Lee Moss hat-trick and further goals from Rob Smith and Matt Wells.

David Rimmer bagged a hat-trick in Allendale's 8-1 trouncing of Bournemouth A in the basement battle with Kevin Welstead, Fred Marville, Tom Green, Mike Trotter and Richard Stevens adding one each, while Jason Thorne (2), Jamie Pain, Brett Warner and John Gaffney were the Fordingbridge Turks marksmen in their 5-1 triumph over West-over Bournemouth Reserves.

DAVE'S TREBLE JOY

Dave Mountford weighed in with a hat-trick when St Mary's moved up to fourth place in Division Three with a 5-3 win over JP Morgan. Mark Downs and James Aldham were the other Saints scorers, with Johnathan Winn, Adam Crocker and Chris Samuels replying for the visitors.

Gareth Brickhill (2), Paul Johnson and Lee Etherton were the Twynham Rangers marksmen when they put paid to Westover Bournemouth A 4-2, while Sway Reserves and Clear-water battled out a 0-0 draw.

HOLDERS DEFEATED

David Hatch struck for Wiltshire Junior Cup holders Redlynch & Woodfalls United but there will be a different name on the trophy this season after they went out 3-1 to Minety from Warminster in the semi-final.

COMEBACK WIN FOR WANDERERS

Division Five leaders Parkside Wanderers trailed to a goal from Griffin's Karl Luke but shrugged off the disappointment of Thursday night's M A Hart Hayward Cup final defeat to come back with a Dean Johnson hat-trick and a goal from Julian Belton to win 4-1.

Second-placed Suttoners Civil Reserves were 5-2 winners against New Milton Eagles thanks to Matt Singleton (2), Vince Marmion, David Reeves and Wayne Murray.

Championship contenders Bisterne United Reserves salvaged a point with a last-gasp equaliser when they drew 2-2 with Queens Park Athletic. Neil Skillings and Ashley Gritt were the Bisterne marksmen with Mike Jones and Christian Hillman on target for Queens Park. Chris Winfield (2) and Paul McKinley gave Phoenix the edge 3-2 against Magpies & Wools-bridge Reserves.

Mike Reynolds nabbed a hat-trick in Bournemouth EMS's 6-1 drubbing of Bournemouth UST, with the other goals coming from Simon Leman (2) and Mark Reynolds.

JACKSON BAGS BRACE

Three points from their final two games should be enough to make Redlynch & Woodfalls United A champions of Division Six after goals from Chris Jackson (2), Tony Randall, Damien Fitzgerald and Luke Charity beat Fordingbridge Turks Reserves 5-1.

Nearest rivals AFC Highcliffe Reserves kept their title hopes alive when they shaded it 3-2 against Twynham Rangers Reserves with goals from Stuart Harley (2) and Ollie Wells.

FIFA Standards just got the better of struggling AFC Burton Reserves 2-1 with goals from Mark McCarthy and Jamie Coe, while Robert Forkan, Nigel Page and Richard Sainsbury gave Somerford Sports a 3-1 success against Rockbourne.

John Ranson, Steve Bridle and Derrant Blenman netted for Screw-it Carpentry but they had to settle for a point when Ben Traves, Richard Pope and Scott Ramsier earned Walker Scott Wanderers a 3-3 draw.
