WIMBORNE Town forward Steve Whitcher bagged a brace as his side secured their place in the Wessex League Cup final last night.
Leading 3-0 from the first leg, Christer Warren's team made no mistake at Cuthbury as Whitcher put the tie beyond doubt early on.
The victory sets up a final against Moneyfields, who defeated Fareham Town 1-0.
"That's 13 games unbeaten now and it's a magnificent effort from the lads," player-boss Warren told the Daily Echo.
"It's not just good for the players, it's good for the supporters and everyone involved with the club. We're making strides."
Warren added: "Being 5-0 up in the tie meant it was strange going out for the second half. We made a few sloppy errors which I was a bit annoyed about, but I won't punish the lads too much."
In his first season at the helm, Warren is still on course for a double, with Magpies also well placed in the exciting Wessex Premier Division title race.
