SUBSTITUTE Zac Glasspool got the decider with his first touch as Christchurch sneaked a win at Fawcett's Field.
He replaced Russell Cook in the 80th minute and immediately bagged the winner to condemn relegation-threatened New Milton to agony.
Christchurch manager Graham Kemp said: "Zac just jogged into the middle of the goalmouth after coming on.
"Marc Burrows got a cross in from the right and Zac blasted it in from about the penalty spot with his first touch."
New Milton joint boss Paul Masters, whose fifth-bottom side could still go down, said: "It was a pretty even game.
"We put our pressure on in the first half and their keeper has made some great saves.
"They scored their chance in the second and that was the difference."
