SWANAGE Town and Herston boss Derek Beale hailed a star performance from goalkeeper Jimmy Hollywood Jnr, as his charges snatched a late 3-3 draw at Blandford United.
The Swans glided into the lead after just three minutes on Saturday, when Richard Sands found the net.
But Matt Sutcliffe hit back on 20 minutes before Jamie Haylock put Royals in front and Jamie Filkins made it three just after the hour mark.
Things could have been much tougher for Swans, as Blandford made the most of having some vicious wind and rain behind them in the first half.
Hollywood needed to be at his best to keep the visitors in contention.
And with the wind in their sails after the break, Swans pulled one back through Lee James after 66 minutes, before Sands stole an equaliser at the death.
This left Beale delighted to escape Park Road with a point and he paid a special tribute to Hollywood for weathering the first half storm.
He said: "We were playing against the wind before half time and they had so many chances. Jimmy in goal made some great saves and he was our man of the match - the ball was swirling around like mad.
"Shots were coming in from all angles but we held on for 2-1 at the break and were still very much in it. We played some good football and could have had about four or five goals in the second half, but we are pleased with a point."
Elsewhere, Cobham Sports went three points clear of basement side Bridport with a 1-0 triumph over Sturminster Marshall at Merley. Danny Hounsell scored in the first minute, which leaves Sports celebrating their maiden victory in five matches.
Graham Trevett's side received a major helping hand from Sturminster Newton in their battle to pull away from the bottom.
Newton defeated Bridport 2-0, courtesy of efforts from Callum Frampton and Simon Freak in the second period.
There was bad news for the inconsistent Holt United, as their erratic form nosedived at Wincanton Town. The visitors went down 4-0, as John Vance bagged a hat-trick and Steve Devlin also netted for the Somerset side.
Meanwhile, near neighbours Hamworthy United and Poole Borough battled to a 1-1 derby draw at the County Ground.
Paul Honeybun gave Hornets the initiative after 50 minutes but Darrell Williams squared things up on 55 to give Hammers a share of the spoils.
In the day's other match, league leaders Portland United sensationally smashed title rivals Gillingham Town 5-0. Despite the Gills having a game in hand, the Islanders are now seven points clear at the top and look likely to claim the Dorset Premier title.
