SWANAGE and Wareham kept their South West Two East title hopes alive with an easy 25-3 win over Reading Abbey at Bestwall.
Robert Elford's men are now heading for a championship showdown with league leaders Chippenham on April 12, although second-placed Salisbury, level with Swans on points, are currently holding the cards in the division's play-off place.
Reading opened the scoring with a penalty, but once the nerves had settled, Swans eased into the play and began to pile the pressure on the Berkshire outfit.
Phil Graves levelled matters with a penalty of his own after 25 minutes, before captain Elford piled over following a fine catch-and-drive move from the line-out.
And Elford doubled his tally five minutes later from a copycat move as Abbey had no answer to Swans' power up front.
David Elford was next over for Swans, just moments after the restart, before Darren Penney's fine solo effort 10 minutes from time, and Graves's conversion, put the gloss on a convincing victory.
Swans: Parish, Rowberry, Graves, M Cottrell, S Andrews (Beaves, 64), D Elford, McKeown, Jones, R Elford, O Andrews (Sheldrake, 61), Burgess, Penney, Warren (Lewis, 64), Tomes, Harwood.
